We were thrilled to have special guest speaker, Author Yolanda D. Coleman. She gave a fantastic motivational speech about staying on the right path with a focus on our goals. She encouraged the students to stay strong in their desire to attain their dreams. She told them to surround themselves with people that will encourage them to follow their dreams and to stay focused.
Several Board members were in attendance along with CLF and school administration, staff and teachers.
The Essay/Poster Contest team members were awarded with a gift of appreciation. The team includes Mrs. McCallister (CSP), Mrs. Jones (CMIT-South), Mr. Conde (CMIT-North) and Ms. Watkis & Ms. Smith (CMIT-Elementary).
Overall this was a great opportunity for all involved to get to know each other and share in the accomplishments of the students. Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation looks forward to many more such occasions.
